But as a fellow European-born, I still find it impossible to swallow this truism that raising taxes is somehow deadlier than taking away healthcare and education from the poor. Whose children then end up in our very expensive prisons. Just doesn't quite seem to add up. Maybe a walk in Tomales Bay State Park will clear my head ....
